calling all who are still "in": i need your help!.

i’m putting together a damming video with evidence of jehovah’s witnesses “organizing” the collection of data in field service – data about when people were not at home, if a child answered the door and so on.

since a leaked letter dated 2-aug-2017, where elders were instructed to destroy all house-to-house records and not tell publishers how to collect data about people not-at-home, we know that the practise has continued.. how you can help.

Since a leaked letter dated 2-Aug-2017, where elders were instructed to destroy all house-to-house records and not tell publishers how to collect data about people not-at-home, we know that the practise has continued.

How you can help

I need video footage of a “Group Overseer” or “Group Assistant”, or even just a brother who’s “organizing” field service. For example, he could be seen collecting notes from publishers containing lists of “not-at-homes” or giving such lists to publishers. If you send in such footage – just PM me here – I will ensure that your identity is protected by:

Obscuring the facial identity of all people in the video clip
Obscuring the audio of anyone speaking in the video clip
Obscuring any geographic clues, such as street signs

Your clip will need to have been recorded after 2-Aug-2017, which is when Jehovah’s Witnesses began to claim that their public witnessing work is purely the result of “individuals” (it’s not organized by the branch or by the local congregation), who “personally and privately” have chosen to call at a specific address.

See what you can do on your mobile phone, with the camera "accidentally" on record...

Hi Incognito. Yes, upon believing that my initial post was not working (queued), I waited until the next day before trying again...during which time I found an even more sensitive form, hence the modified post.

Thanks for bearing with me. I am a newbie, who did not understand the unique "queuing" process on this forum. A rookie mistake, from which I have learnt!

Note on the REVERSE of the form comments that elders write, and a box to rate your "spirituality"! You are forbidden to see this data. I personally think that the data is sensitive, and that you should be allowed to see what they write about you.

Maybe I'm being overly dramatic. What are your thoughts?

after listening to the leaked videos this is what i think it’s all about.

first i don’t believe they will want to much personal information ie bank accounts etc do to potential legal problems down the road.

what i think is their goal is once all publishers are in the data base they then have no need for written information about any issue concerning a publisher and how issues are handled by elders and the branch etc... this information now is in their own data base and can be deleted or manipulated by them at any time.

Hi Drearyweather. If only life were that simple. Sadly, for many, they only found out about the negative comments made about them months or years later. I personally have been on "review committees" that review such forms; I've personally seen forms come through with dire character comments - but strangely the grade was "D - Poor", preventing the Service Committee from having to confront the individual. Nevertheless, that data is held on file - regardless of the accuracy.

For clarity about what data is held on the new Publisher ID system, it is significant that S-21 data (name | DOB | baptism | phone | email | service record | "OS/anointed") is going to be held regardless of signed consent. The signed consent if for additional data, such as on this form, to be stored about you.

PS. About the CO or branch responding to negative reports: they don't. In one case, myself and the other brother reviewing the forms were shocked by what one Service Committee wrote about a sister who we knew well. This brother, who was in Special Full Time Service, was so moved that he contacted the CO. The CO said "it's nothing to do with me - it's a local congregation issue". Since all COs are on annual review, they don't want to rock the boat with local bodies of elders; they don't want to get their hands dirty unless absolutely necessary. Sad but true.

Seeing that the local elders are free to write the own personal opinions, and publishers are forbidden access to this data, should a publisher just trust that their local elders will only write positive and accurate things? Are the 3 men making up the Service Committee always impartial and objective - in every congregation? Is it healthy for the subject (the publisher) to be denied access to see what has been written about them, and available to view on the new Publisher ID global JW database?

Here’s some examples of the data that local elders are asked to record:

7. How would you frankly describe the applicant’s background (education, drugs, moral standing, homelife, etc.)?

8. (a) Describe any difficulties you have had with the applicant: ˛

Personal rating of the applicant:
Emotional stability: A - Excellent | B - Good) | C - Average (qualifies) | D - Poor (may not qualify) | E - Does not qualify. [Comments: ]

Some posters on this forum are expressing their opinion that such data is not “sensitive”. I think it is, but what are the thoughts of some of you here on this forum?
